The good writers are the guys who write articles that don’t even seem to have a lead. When you start you already feel you’re in the middle of a story you can’t stop reading. Then when I really am in the middle I sometimes shake myself awake and go back to the first sentence to see how they did it.
I’m constantly going back to the beginning of Jesse Kornbluth’s stories.
That’s why I never miss Head Butler.
Today’s post is not especially brilliant, but it is about Leonard Cohen.
And that’s the other thing about Kornbluth. He likes the good stuff.
