Bio

I am fascinated by and write and speak about Jewish American literature and culture, with excursions into Sephardic history and culture. Currently writing the first biography of the early 1960s song parodist, Allan Sherman. My literary agent is Ted Weinstein.

B.A. SUNY Binghamton. M. A. Tufts University. M.S. Columbia University, Graduate School of Journalism.

New York born and bred. Living in the SF Bay Area, where I seem to associate only with East Coast transplants (exceptions made for significant others).

Specialist in guerrilla scholarship. I attack lightly defended literary and cultural positions and then retreat into the mountains before the PhDs can find me.
